We caught Madagascar Live! last night and the kids were so thrilled to ‘Move It, Move It’ together with their favourite Madagascar characters Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman.
A stage production of lively storytelling, dance and music, Madagascar Live! follows the storyline of the 2005 movie where Alex the lion, Melman the giraffe, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo and the plotting penguins escape from their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.
While the kids have never actually seen the original movie Madagascar, they are so familiar with the characters from our visits to Universal Studio that they were very excited to see them brought to life on stage with the familiar voices of the original characters set to a recorded track.
The energetic performance kept the little ones entertained and by the end of the performance, there were kids dancing happily in the aisles.
