Brunch at Rokeby

We’ve only ever had dessert at Rokeby and that was almost a year ago so it was nice to finally have brunch there recently. Adrian ordered his usual breakfast platter with everything and I couldn’t resist the foie gras benedict. It was good but could have done with less hollandaise sauce, especially since the foie gras already made the dish so rich. I find that cafes generally tend to overdo it with the hollandaise sauce when it comes to the eggs benedict. The sticky date pudding was moist and satisfying. It was a good brunch and we’ll be happy to go back again if we’re in the area.

Oh my, I’m definitely going there for the iced chocolate! I’ve been spoilt silly with all the yummy iced chocolates here in Australia, and I think I’ll need to find places with good ones, so that I don’t get withdrawal symptoms.
