After our little class at GymKraft, the kids and I took a bus from Guillemard all the way to Holland Village for brunch. I was considering the new cafe Park but it was a really hot day and the air-conditioning there just wasn’t strong enough! We headed to Hatched instead.
I was initially hesitant to try Hatched at HV even though I have been to the one at Evans because I’d read quite a few not-so-positive reviews about the service on their Facebook page. But the service was great even though the place was packed! The order was taken quickly and food arrived soon after. They provided the kids with children’s plates and cutlery without being prompted, even giving Adam a sippy cup with a straw.
When I saw Burly Benedict on the menu, I just had to order it. It’s an Eggs Benedict with corned beef and I’m a really big fan of corned beef! It was yummy and Anya gobbled up the accompanying home fries. The kids ate the French Toast Fingers very happily, leaving none for me, so I guess they liked it.
I guess this is a reminder for me to take reviews with a pinch of salt because we had no problems at all with the service and the food was satisfying!
my mum used to make shepherd’s pie with corned beef all the time… I haven’t had it in years since I left home though! Got to ask her to make it again, I love corned beef too!
