Hi-T with Hi-5 at Millenia Walk

Anya really adores Hi-5 and I like Hi-5 too because of their catchy songs and wholesome values. The best Christmas present we could give Anya would be for her to get up close and personal with Hi-5! Last year, we managed to get a picture with them after Adrian queued for 2 hours. This year, he didn’t want to queue.

So on Saturday, we attended a Hi-T with Hi-5 at Millenia Walk. Anya had been very excited the entire day but suddenly became quite shy when the Hi-5 cast appeared on stage. They talked to the audience (mainly little girls like Anya), sang a few songs, and then we took photos  with them and we got their autographs too. Anya was super happy and now she keeps looking at the videos and photos from that day. :)

The Hi-5 cast must have been pretty exhausted because of their gruelling schedule (live shows at 1pm and 7pm everyday except Mondays, 3 camps, 8 Hi-Ts, 2 lunches) but they were so professional and friendly throughout the entire event. I can’t even entertain my own kids for an hour without feeling tired and there they were singing, dancing, carrying kids in their arms, lifting kids up onto their laps… Really amazing! I hope they come again next year!

Tanglin Tree + Friven & Co. + Swiss Butchery

We went to The Tanglin Tree at the Friven & Co. building for breakfast yesterday. I dragged the husband and Anya there because my friend told me that Friven has Hi-5 merchandise and I wanted to see if they had any party supplies that we could potentially use for Anya’s 2nd birthday. We had a good breakfast and lots of fun at the playground on the ground floor, went up to Friven on the 2nd floor and finished off with a stop at the Swiss Butchery on the 1st floor. Quite a fruitful trip even though we didn’t manage to get any Hi-5 party stuff!

Hi-5 fever!!

Ever since we saw the promotional materials for Hi-5 stuck to one of the walls of Marina Square, we knew we had to bring Anya to watch them and hopefully to take a photo with them. She would stick herself to the wall and give high fives to the Hi-5 members every time we passed the wall.

So last Friday, the first day of the live shows, we popped down to Marina Sq and got there an hour before the 7pm show. The queue was really long by then. Although we managed to get into the fenced-off area, we didn’t get a meet-and-greet pass. :( But Anya had fun dancing and waving her arms around anyway.

The next day, as I mentioned in an earlier post, Adrian went to queue on his own 2 hours before the 1pm show and got us a pass as well as front and centre seats!! He’s the best! It was quite an experience but we’re so not going to do this again!! It’s madness!

I want!

no meet-and-greet pass?? :(

we’re so far from the stage!!
