Adam at The Animal Resort

I accompanied Adam on his school excursion to The Animal Resort and it was really interesting to see a different side of Singapore. There are many small animals and birds found at The Animal Resort and there’s a horse as well. The kids were given a briefing on the different types of animals there and how to feed them before being set loose on the hapless creatures.

The animals there generally looked well cared for and they were clearly used to being surrounded by noisy little children. Adam was initially afraid to get too close to the animals to feed them and would fling the food at the animals instead of feeding it to them, but he eventually warmed up to the idea. It’s a pretty fun way for kids to spend a few hours but insect repellent is a must!

We visited it recently too, and thought it was quite a good place for young kids to meet the animals. I was a little frightened by the marabou stork actually, which looked really fierce. Did you see it? Oh and I thought the skinny pig was so interesting! Never knew it existed.

I think you were there one or two days before us! I don’t think we saw the marabou stork. The skinny pig is cute but the red eyes make it look slightly evil.
