There has been a greater level of interest in dinosaurs in the Wee household ever since Adam got a bucketful of dinosaurs as one of his Christmas presents. So it was with much excitement that we went to see the dinosaurs at the ArtScience Museum last weekend. Dinosaurs: Dawn to Extinction is an impressive exhibition that transports you back to, and through, the Precambrian, Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous prehistoric periods.
I love that the exhibition is very kid-friendly instead of being the see-no-touch sort. There are engaging interactive stations for the kids to look at/ listen to/ touch things so that they can have a better understanding of what the dinosaurs were like. There are also workshops for the children to make and play with shadow puppets of dinosaurs and to imagine ‘A Day in the Life of a Paleontologist’!
Dinosaurs: Dawn to Extinction is a must-do during the upcoming school holidays! It is on at the ArtScience Museum from 10am to 7pm daily until 27 July. Tickets are available at the ArtScience Museum and from SISTIC. There are free guided tours on the weekends at 11.30am & 5pm (English) and 2pm & 4pm (Mandarin).
I think it’s so much fun to be a kid these days. For the March school holidays, the ArtScience Museum is conducting Dinosnores! A Sleepover with Dinos on 16 & 21 March from 6.30pm to 10am the following day. Participants get to spend a night among the exhibits of Dinosaurs: Dawn to Extinction and take part in interactive workshops, a movie screening and more! Don’t think we ever had anything like this when we were kids! The sleepover is $120 per child (only for children aged 6 to 12 years) and is free for accompanying adults. To book, call 6688 8826 or visit any Marina Bay Sands box office.
Welcome to the world of dinosaurs! :)
Haha. Thanks ah…
