This being my third pregnancy, I’m very familiar with Maternity Exchange. No woman wants to look (and feel) like a frumpy whale during her pregnancy, but the truth is that stylish maternity clothes don’t come cheap. Multiply the cost by the different types of clothes needed throughout a pregnancy (for work, casual wear, special occasions) and you can see why some women have no choice but to wear the same boring tent dresses over and over.
Maternity Exchange gives pregnant ladies the option of buying or renting outfits so that they can look their best during pregnancy without spending too much. They have different rental packages (starting at $299 to rent any 8 pieces) to suit different needs and you can always buy a rented piece if you decide that you want to keep it!
When I visited Maternity Exchange the other day, I was actually in need of a new diaper bag. We have been using our current backpack for years, but it’s not very comfortable for me when I’m wearing a baby carrier at the same time. Also, our diaper bag has been used and abused for so long that it was looking quite sad (and smelling a bit gross, to be honest). I left with a Skip*Hop Duo Diaper Bag in Onyx Tile that day and I’m really LOVING it!
I can’t help but have a ‘Where have you been all my life??’ feeling with this new diaper bag. I love the easy-to-clean, lightweight and durable poly-canvas material. I love that there are so many pockets (11 in total!) so that everything is in its place without getting all jumbled up together. The huge pockets on the outside of the bag are great for keeping wet wipes within reach for my very grubby kids and the messes they get themselves into.
There are strong magnetic closures so the bag stays closed but is easily opened at a moment’s notice. The magnetic closures are hidden internally so I don’t have to worry about magnets falling out and being swallowed by accident. The shoulder strap has a soft, removable shoulder strap which makes the bag comfortable and easy to carry.
I also love the two zippered pockets at the top on either side of the main compartment. One is about half the depth of the bag and the other is slightly shallower. This is absolutely brilliant because I don’t have to dig around the bottom of the bag to get my wallet, phone, etc. The shoulder bag is also easily converted to a stroller bag with very cleverly-designed shuttle clips.
Besides getting the diaper bag, I didn’t really have time to browse the other day because Anya wanted to have lunch so I’ll be popping by Maternity Exchange again very soon to get some nursing wear and baby essentials just before number three makes an appearance!

Disclaimer: I received one item from Maternity Exchange for a product review. All opinions are my own.
For my first pregnancy I rented items from Maternity Exchange since I wasn’t sure what I liked or what I needed. Once I figured that out, I bought online and have made my money’s worth after 3 kids, haha!
I bought stuff online too! But hated waiting around for the stuff to be shipped over!
