After Anya’s first inline skating lesson, we rushed down to Cathay Cineleisure for the Disney’s Princess Film Festival opening screening of ‘Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs’. We were initially thinking of giving it a miss because Anya was so tired and grubby after her class, but decided it could be a reward for the effort she put in during the lesson.

When we got there, we quickly changed Anya into her Cinderella dress because there was a best dressed contest going on and managed to get a photo taken with (a very tall) Snow White. Snow White gave Anya an apple which she passed to her brother and he tried to eat but dropped a million times so I finally gave up and threw it away! We also received a Princess magazine, a sheet of limited edition ‘Frozen’ stickers and a DVD (we picked ‘The Little Mermaid’).

Before the show began, they gave out the prizes for the Best Dressed Contest and Anya came in first. We really didn’t expect her to win. Her Cinderella dress from Hong Kong Disneyland has been very useful to us so far! She was so delighted with her Snow White toy set and you can see in the group picture later that she couldn’t bear to let go of it even to take a photo.

Disney’s Princess Film Festival runs from 16 to 27 November and leads up to Disney’s year-end release, ‘Frozen’, on 28 November. We saw the trailer before the screening of Snow White started and it looks really funny!
During the festival, five classic Disney Princess movies – ‘Aladdin’, ‘Beauty & the Beast’, ‘Tangled’/ ‘Rapunzel’, ‘Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs’, and ‘Sleeping Beauty’ – will re-run at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard and Cathay AMK Hub. You can get a limited edition ‘Frozen’ sticker sheet with every pair of Disney’s Princess Film Festival tickets purchased and a Mattel Sparkling Princess doll with a minimum of 6 tickets purchased. We bought tickets for ‘Aladdin’, ‘Beauty & the Beast’ and ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Anya chose the Cinderella doll for her free toy, obviously!

Looking forward to watching the movies on the big screen with Anya. I think she will love them! Hope she doesn’t plan on dressing up as Cinderella for every single one of the movies though!
