March Holidays: Adam’s First Cable Car Ride

Adam went on his first ever cable car ride during the March holidays. Technically, he took the cable car in Wellington when he was 4 months old but that was a very different type of cable car. He was pretty excited during the ride and couldn’t really keep still. We took the cable car to Mt Faber and then stayed on back to Harbourfront for dinner at Shin Kushiya, Vivocity.

March Holidays: Port of Lost Wonder

We hadn’t been to POLW in ages so we made our way there on the second day of our Sentosa getaway. The kids had a lot of fun because Adam’s at the age where he loves to dig in the sand and play with water.

It was a beautiful clear day, great for playing in the wet playground. We also had a nice shady spot under the trees to chill and have our lunch. The kids played like crazy then went back to the hotel for a long nap.

March Holidays: Kith at Quayside Isle

We had breakfast at Kith last Thursday and I must say the Quayside Isle branch is my favourite of the three. There is plenty of space inside (unlike the one at Robertson Quay) and so much room for the kids to run around outside (unlike the Park Mall one). The food and coffee is just as good, of course. Wish they would invest in some children-friendly plates and cutlery though!

Since we were headed to the beach after breakfast, we dressed Adam in his swimming stuff and that turned out to be a good thing because he decided to play with the fountain just outside Kith.

March Holidays: S.E.A. Aquarium

We visited S.E.A. Aquarium last Wednesday with Selena and her boys. I thought the aquarium was absolutely fascinating and the kids loved it too. The pictures below don’t do it justice but I guess it’s something you have to see for yourself to fully appreciate.

There was so much to see and we were there for a few hours. It was rather crowded when we were there, but not uncomfortably so. Since it was the March holidays, there were some activities for kids and that was Anya’s favourite bit. I would say the aquarium is worth the ticket price (we got a discount with our NTUC card) and also worth visiting more than once!

March Holidays: Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa

We went to Sentosa during the March holidays and stayed at Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa. I really love the colonial facade of the building and the way it is done up inside with many upcycled old pieces and warm wood accents.

Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa is very conveniently located. It’s a stone’s throw away from Imbiah Station and it’s so central that we walked almost everywhere. Would definitely stay there again the next time we have a Sentosa getaway!

March Holidays: Felt Fruit

Some of my friends got together and bought Anya a 6-month Lollibox subscription for her birthday and the first box she received was one on vegetables! She made a felt carrot and a felt tomato from the materials provided.

We have plenty of felt at home so I’m planning to cut the pieces of felt into shapes, punch holes around the edge, get some yarn and use the plastic needle we got from this box to do more sewing!
